To Be Well is to Be Whole

Acupuncture is an ancient healing modality that gently boosts your body's own natural healing resources
I am no stranger to the miracles of modern medicine. My late husband received the gift of one of his Mom's kidneys on his 18th birthday and was granted a whole new lease on life. When my own body has been in acute distress, skillful surgeons have removed my angry appendix and a rogue adrenal gland and broken up too big kidney stones with lasers. We need modern medicine when we are acutely ill or when our physiology has been impacted strongly by trauma.
We need Oriental Medicine to teach us to pay attention to the subtle energies within and those we surround ourselves with so that we can notice pathologies and warning signs and kindly attend to them before they cause big trouble. We need Oriental Medicine to attend to the whole of our being; mind, body and spirit, to acknowledge that everything and everyone is connected, to realize that sometimes that which we feel is actually more true than that which we think.
Acupuncture resonates with me because it has the potential to provide an embodied awareness of the energetic impact of thought, emotion, environment and relationship upon the physical body and vice versa. This provides a foundation for choice and creativity in creating wellness strategies.
There are many other types of healing modalities which can help on the path to wellness including massage and myofascial release and yoga and Qi Gong and Tai Chi and chiropractic and naturopathy and homeopathy.
There are many creative therapies and activities that heighten this awareness too. Dance and music and artistic endeavors of all types all have the ability to enhance our connection with energy.
Time spent in nature's beauty and mindfulness and community all play important roles.
Experience Acupuncture. . . Alleviate Suffering
I offer my practice to raise awareness of alternative healing modalities and share the experience of a gentle medicine that can soften and warm the cold, hard edges of pain, chronic disease, cancer treatments, surgery, psychological pain and the isolation of illness. In connection, compassion, collaboration, creativity WE can alleviate suffering.
